About The Cottage Rental...

Hemlock Hill Cottage is located in Harcourt Park, a private cooperatively-owned, 6900-acre conservation area.  The park encompasses, more than eight different lakes, miles and miles of hiking trails, a community centre, a general store and the Harcourt Park Marina.

The rental cottage is located on Little Straggle Lake and provides approx-imately 900 square feet of living area, has a full kitchen, a 3-piece bathroom (shower), running (lake) water, a dining area, a living room, and 3 bedrooms. As a private rental cottage it is fully furnished and offers a fully equipped kitchen with dishware, pots and pans, and utensils.

A deck is attached to the cottage on the East and North sides facing the lakefront. A small private dock extends into the Straggle Lake from the shoreline.

Swimming is permitted in Little Straggle Lake, however boats from outside of Harcourt Park are not permitted due to the risk of Zebra Mussels and other ecological threats. Kayaks are available at the cottage and for rent at the nearby marina.

If needed, the rental cottage can be heated using the high-efficiency wood stove located in the living room.

The cottage is in the heart of Ontario Cottage county and is an easy drive from Harcourt Park to Wilberforce, Harcourt, Algonquin Park, Haliburton and Bancroft. These towns and the areas in between offer a variety of shopping, sightseeing and sporting activities.

Are not uncommon visitors on the deck after dark.  Sometimes an adult with 3 or 4 cubs will visit. It’s a good idea not to feed them.
